On Friday 7th September our Thingwall Services held their annual Barbeque evening for clients who attend the Resource Centre and for their families and friends too.
With over 50 people attending, the event gave clients and their families a great opportunity to meet and chat to other families and the staff team. The evening was a huge success and there was a variety of activities for everyone who came along.
Terry and Dave, members of the Resource Centre’s staff team, were the chefs for the evening and were kept busy with cooking burgers and hotdogs on the barbeque. The team had planned lots of fun games for everyone to play; Bernie was the lucky winner of the ‘Name the Doll’ competition and there was a very exciting and competitive game of Bingo, (Gala bingo has nothing on the Resource Centre!). The prizes, which were kindly donated by families and staff, ranged from bottles of wine, bath sets and a handbag.
Christine won a fabulous piece of jewellery and Mary won a beautiful watch. As well as the bingo, they also arranged a raffle which Colin was a winner of; he was very happy with his prize and couldn’t wait to take it home.
It was a great night and everyone really enjoyed the evening despite the poor weather!
