On Friday 31st March, the Brothers of Charity Services held a Health and Wellbeing day at their Lisieux Hall site in Chorley, Lancashire.
A variety of health and wellbeing related activities and stalls, representing the local organisations were present at the event. Stalls included social enterprises that are supported by Brothers of Charity Services; these were The Walled Garden planting Daffodil Seeds, Pets Corner with their resident Rabbits, Roccoco selling some freshly cooked meals for lunch and Crafty Uniforms with a variety of craft materials and hand made jewels. There were also plenty of other stalls that provided people with lots of information on how to keep fit and healthy.

Red Nose Day Football Tournament
Outside, the second leg of the Red Nose Day 5-A-Side Football Tournament took place as part of the Health and Wellbeing Day. The teams Heaton Street FC, Hands on Gardening North End, Red BOCS and Cop Lane United all played each other in very exciting games, with RedBOCS and Heaton Street FC playing it out in an intense final. The final game finished with a penalty shootout, where RedBOCS took the win at sudden death! They will now go on to play BlueBOCS from Merseyside in the Tournament Final at Brothers of Charity Services Heritage Day later this year.
Active Nation coaches Daniel and AJ helped out with the football tournament by getting involved and playing in the matches. Active Nation also provided an Inclusive Fitness session in the afternoon, they demonstrated a variety of simple and effective exercises that everyone could get involved with. Everyone who took part worked hard and had lots of fun taking part!
Everybody who attended the Health and Wellbeing day enjoyed themselves and were provided with some very useful information. We have received plenty of positive feedback, including:
