On Friday 6th September the Creative Arts team held the opening of their ‘Universal Art- Making our Mark’ exhibition at Astley Hall.
The exhibition is a proud display of abstract expressionism which demonstrates all of our 58 artist’s works and even shows some large scale group projects such as the Willow Weaved 7+ft Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Within the Creative Arts department at the Brothers of Charity Services we enable artists with learning disabilities the chance to thrive. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate fully in arts and culture. We envisage a time when the arts sector will be inclusive and accessible to all. Creativity is innate in all of us and we strive to find the potential in everyone we work with.
Our artists are over the moon about the exhibition and our visitors have had nothing but kind things to say about the beautiful display of talent in the modern, yet rustic exhibition space. The exhibition is open every Saturday & Sunday 12.00 – 16.00 until the 22nd September, if you fancy a day out at Astley Hall, please drop by the exhibition space above the cafe to experience our artists’ works.
