On Tuesday 13th August, our Day Services in The Resource Centre at Thingwall Hall took part in an amazing performance of ‘It’s My Life’ led by a professional theatre and creative arts company from Liverpool called Wicked Fish. The company provides drama workshops for schools, colleges and arts organisations. There was a total of 19 people we support from our Merseyside Services involved with one person travelling from Lancashire to take part!
There was a great turn out on the day with everyone excited to see what the group had in store for them. The performance consisted of the group acting out their day to day routines, from waking up, going shopping, watching their favourite TV programmes and enjoying a nice slice of cake and a cup of tea. The acting was brought to life with a soundtrack of day to day noises such as dogs barking, brushing their teeth and theme tunes to popular soaps. Throughout the play a selection of well-known songs where played to fit with the day to day activities. This really got the audience going.
