The Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester are able to offer a flexible and creative outreach support (or floating support) service that offers people the support that they want, as and when it’s needed. The outreach support service is provided to people in their own homes across the regions.
Whether it’s a few hours a week or a couple of hours every day, our outreach support service can provide everything a person will need to become an active, participating member of society by accessing local community groups and facilities.
Examples of support that can be provided through the outreach support service include support in the mornings to get up, prepare breakfast and shower or support to develop daily living skills such as managing finances, taking part in educational, employment and training opportunities, as well as getting involved in preferred social activities whilst ensuring people stay safe and healthy.
Some of the things this service may be able to help with are;
- Community access and involvement
- Personal care and mobility support
- Managing and maintaining tenancy
- Budgeting and claiming the right benefits
- Developing / maintaining daily living skills
- Signposting and access to services
