Fun for Comic Relief Across the English Services!

The Brothers of Charity Services in England held lots of fun events to raise money for Red Nose Day 2017!

The English Services held activities including a dress down day, a football tournament, a bake off and cake sale to raise money for Comic Relief.

The Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire held a bake off and received some delicious cake entries from Jane Pilkington and everyone at Inprint. After careful consideration by the judges, both entries were announced as winners, congratulations to Jane and Inprint! The judges commented that the cakes looked amazing and really were absolutely delicious. Cakes from the bake off were sold and raised a fantastic £66 for Comic Relief.

Everybody enjoyed the good food, good music, good company and some good laughs, particularly with the painting of Red Noses! Thank you to everyone who took part and attended, with special thanks to Liz Beaver and John Whitehead for all of their support organising the event.

The first leg of the Red Nose Day 5-a-side Football Tournament was held at the Brothers of Charity Services in Merseyside’s Thingwall Hall Site, which was open to everyone, as part of the annual Health and Wellbeing Day, which took place in conjunction with the Red Nose Day events. The teams, Thingwall Warriors and BlueBOCS played a very exciting game, finishing at 2-2.The game finished with a penalty shootout, where BlueBOCS took the win on sudden death.

The Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire will be holding the second part of the Red Nose Day 5-a-Side Football Tournament at the Health and Wellbeing Day on Friday 31st March and the winner will go on to play BlueBOCS in the Tournament Final at the Brothers of Charity Services Heritage Day later this year.

A fantastic day was had by all and the money raised will be donated to Comic Relief. If you would like to find out more about Comic Relief and Red Nose Day, please visit their website: www.rednoseday.com
