February Promotion

Dignity Action Day

As part of Health BOCS, the Brothers of Charity Servcies’ health and wellbeing programme, throughout February we promoted Dignity in Care. We done this by sign posting staff and the people we support, information about Dignity in Care.

This campaign aims to give everyone the opportunity to contribute to upholding people’s rights to dignity and provide a memorable day for everybody. It also aims to ensure people who use care services are treated as individuals are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.

March Promotion

This Month we are promoting:

No Smoking Day

As part of Health BOCS, the Brothers of Charity Services’ health and wellbeing programme, throughout March, we will be promoting No Smoking Day.

No Smoking Day has been running since Ash Wednesday in 1983, when it was called Quit for the Day . The campaign is re-designed every year to help push smokers to quit.

The mission of the campaign is to appeal to smokers of all types- whatever their age, sex or social class. They publicise and explain the help that smokers can get when they want to stop, and capture the attention of the media with lots of supportive TV, newspaper and radio coverage.

The No Smoking Day team works with national helplines, local stop smoking services, drop-in centres, pharmacists, GPs and other services that offer help and advice to smokers who want to give up. The day is rigorously evaluated every year, ensuring the campaign stays relevant and up-to-date.

Apprentice Week

During this week employers and apprentices from across England will come together to celebrate the success of apprenticeships whilst encouraging even more people to choose apprenticeships as a pathway to a great career.

This campaign is designed to showcase how apprenticeships work for individuals, businesses, communities and the wider economy.

This year, the theme set by the government is “Apprenticeships Work”. It plans to demonstrate how apprenticeships work “for individuals, employers, the community and the wider economy.”
