Moving into his first home was a big step for James but The Brothers of Charity Services were there for him, and his family, every step of the way.
He’d been attending day services for a number of years and felt it was time to stand on his own two feet.
And now James couldn’t be happier, in his own home, which is a few minutes from his parent’s house, with 24 hour support.
His mum, Oonagh, said: “It’s been brilliant for him to have his own place and it really has been a smooth transition. We couldn’t have asked for any more help.
“We were closely involved in selecting the staff that would be living with James and consulted on decisions throughout.
“We have seen some really positive changes in James, who now sometimes walks to the shops or goes to Manchester on the train.”
