What a fabulous day we had at our Merseyside Services’ Health and Wellbeing Day on 25th September 2019.
The event provided staff and the people we support the opportunity to talk to a variety of health related organisations and join in with activities such as Boccia and ten pin bowling.
Everybody who came to the event were able to find out about a range of health and wellbeing subjects including receiving a Health MOT from CHATS Liverpool, information on women’s health from The Women’s Organisation, training opportunities from LiveWire Liverpool and receiving helpful tips on how to stay safe from Bully Busters.
For attendees who were looking for a pamper and some relaxation, Liz Keeble from Be Holistic gave free reflexology hand treatments. Liz is a fully insured Holistic Therapist based in Crosby and offers therapy to treat a great deal of disorders such as stress, anxiety, muscular aches and pains and digestive complaints. As part of our HealthBOCS initiative, the Brothers of Charity Services are offering staff and the people we support a variety of alternative therapy treatments on a complementary basis. As well as reflexology, Hugh Baird College joined us to give staff and the people we support hand massages and manicures.
Throughout the day we also had a cake stall to raise money for Macmillan and our clients Christmas party. Please click here to read more.
