On Thursday 14th February our St Helens and Knowsley Services held their Valentine’s Party at Whiston Labour Club from 1pm to 5pm, for both the people we support and staff to enjoy. The event had a great turn out with many people attending from across our Merseyside Services.
Our clients danced the day away to some old and new songs at the disco, which they all thoroughly enjoyed! Everyone then tucked into some nice hot pot for their meal, followed by some delicious doughnuts for desert. After everyone had finished their food, there was a raffle with many prizes to be won including: chocolate, toiletry sets and arts and craft items. Our clients were really excited going up to the stage to receive the prizes they had won- the raffle was a huge success!
The room was decorated beautifully with Valentine bunting. Paul, one of the people we support, also kindly made us a banner in his own time which he brought to the party. The banner was displayed on stage where everyone could see his wonderful creation; it really brightened up the room and everybody was really impressed by his work!
