Santa Stroll and Christmas Fair at Thingwall Hall

We’ve had a fantastic start to the Christmas Season at Brothers of Charity Services Merseyside with our annual Santa Stroll and Christmas Fair in aid of the Whitechapel Centre, the Liverpool area’s leading homeless charity and the Brothers of Charity’s international charitable projects in Sri Lanka.

On Thursday 1st December we held our annual Santa Stroll and Christmas Fair at Thingwall Hall in Merseyside. Lots of people we support across the Merseyside Services turned up to get involved with the Festivities and got into the Christmas Spirit!

Everybody took part in the Santa Stroll around the grounds of Thingwall Hall and the local neighbourhood, and had a sing-along to Christmas music to make the strolls even more festive!

The Christmas Fair took place inside the Chapel at Thingwall Hall alongside the Santa Stroll. We had stalls such as a Cake Sale, Christmas Crafts, Tombola, a Selfie Stand and Find Santa’s Hat, as well as a kicking off the Christmas Jumper Competition which runs until the 16th December when the winner will be announced on Christmas Jumper Day, so please keep your entries coming in and email photographs to marketing@brothersofcharity.org.uk.

The Christmas events were a great success with everyone having fun on the Santa Stroll and lots of people walked away with fantastic prizes from the Tombola and delicious cakes and goodies from our Cake Sale!

The Find Santa’s Hat winners were Barry and Mat from St Helens and Knowsley who chose square number 11 and won a fabulous bottle of Verve Cliqot Champagne, well done!

The Christmas Fair also saw the start of food bank donations that we are collecting for the Whitechapel Centre until the 20th December, if you have any much appreciated donations of non-perishable food items, or hygiene goods such as razors and Shaving foam, please drop them off at the reception at Thingwall Hall.

Brothers of Charity Services would like to say a big thank you to Cadburys who made a HUGE donation and to everyone else who donated gifts, prizes and their time to our Santa Stroll and Christmas Fair. We raised over £250 which will be split equally between both charities.
