Social Enterprise Blog 10/05/18

The Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire have various social enterprises for adults with learning disabilities; these services are designed to support people and to develop skills with confidence in a supportive working environment whilst offering services in the local community.

The social enterprises carryout lots of great, fun, activities for the people we support and the local communities to get involved with. Here you will be able to find out what each of the Social Enterprises have been up to this week.

The Walled Garden

The team at The Walled Garden had a lovely day at Worden Park’s Market on Sunday. They would like to give a huge thanks to Barbara, one of their amazing volunteers and the Guild Horns for coming along to join the day and giving a brilliant performance. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day and can’t wait for the next one!

Roccoco

This week’s special is a delicious peaches and cream tart made by, Jamie, a new member of the team a Roccoco. Pop down and enjoy a slice with pouring cream for just £2.50! If that doesn’t suit you, then head down to Roccoco to see what else they have to offer.

Crafty Uniforms

Come and have a look at Crafty Uniforms selection of paint and brushes! They have lots of colours to choose from. Pop in this week, they are open from 9am to 4pm.

Crafty Uniforms are holding a competition for a chance to win sports tops for your local community group! They have a selection of new sports tops in a variety of children’s sizes, up to age 12. The team are offering up to 20 tops as well as a £10 voucher towards extra kit items from the shop to help the winning group. Don’t miss out, winner will be announced very soon! Heaton Street

The team at Heaton Street Gardening have been busy tidying up customers’ gardens preparing them for the growing season. Does your garden look like it needs a makeover ready for the summer? Why not give them a call on 07834 480 367 to discuss your needs.

It is always great to get feedback from any customers. This review left for Heaton Street was from a job that they completed earlier last week. The team tidied up from behind the fencing and then replaced the rotten fence panels with new ones.

The customer said, “What an amazing job the guys have done today. It looks like a different garden”.

Hands on Gardening

Working in the sun makes such a difference! The glorious weather means the team at Hands on Gardening have started working on gardens that were recently waterlogged, but it unfortunately it also means that the weeds are growing faster than ever. Why not call their friendly team if you’re struggling maintaining your garden!

Pets Corner

Robert kindly donated his fish tank and decorations to Pets Corner. He also bought along a new friend to live with the fish, can you spot him?
