The Brothers of Charity Services have various Social Enterprises for adults with learning disabilities; services are designed to support people to develop skills with confidence in a supportive working environment whilst offering services in the local community.
The social enterprises carryout lots of great, fun activities for the people we support and the local communities to get involved with. Here you will be able to find out what each of the social enterprises have been up to this week.
SelectionBOCS
SelectionBOCS, our social enterprises in Lancashire, have been getting in to the festive spirit and have created this fantastic animation called ‘A visit from St Nick’ based on the famous poem by Clement Clarke Moore- we hope you enjoy watching it! Click here to view animation.
Heaton Street
As well as continuing our garden rounds, the team at Heaton Street have visited Brickcroft Nature Reserve several times to help tidy up. Whilst they’ve been at the nature reserve, our team have had the chance to take part in several activities such as doing lead rubbings and identifying different types of wildlife.
This beautiful garland draped across the fireplace at Lisieux Hall reception was handmade by the very talented team from The Walled Garden, using hedge cuttings from the team at Heaton Street. All complemented with twinkling festive lights.

Crafty Uniforms
Our team at Crafty Uniforms have been busy creating Christmas table decorations for the Brothers of Charity Services in England Christmas Party that was held at Shaw Hill Golf Resort.
In November we’ve had a total of 50 bags of very kind donations! From a couple of items to several boxes and bags, each and every donation is very gratefully received. The generous donations of craft items and uniforms help us to not only provide great resources to sell through our shop but in doing so also helps us to provide a service to teach skills to the adults with learning disabilities who we support to help run the shop.
The generosity of local people is so very heart warming.
