The Brothers of Charity Services have various Social Enterprise for adults with learning disabilities; the services are designed to support people to develop skills with confidence in a supportive working environment whilst offering services in the local community.

The social enterprises carryout lots of great, fun activities for the people we support and local communities to get involved with. Here you will be able to find out what each of the enterprises have been up to.

Roccoco

Our talented team at Roccoco started preparing early for Valentine’s Day, working on some new ideas for delicious desserts to sell. Tom’s Red Velvet Cupcakes was a massive hit with the customers.

Each week the wonderful Roccoco team bake delicious new treats each week for their customers. Tom, Jacob and Antony recently made a New York Cheesecake. Pop in to the case and tuck into a slice for just £2.50, but make sure you hurry before it’s all gone.

The Syrian Bistro was a massive hit with the customers in January, with lots of great feedback being given! Dave from our Outreach team has quoted, ‘I found the Syrian Bistro a very good experience. I couldn’t fault it, the food and drinks were delicious! I would definitely like to attend again in the future’

The next Syrian Bistro will take place on 22nd February; if you are interested in experiencing something new please contact Annabelle on 07557 568 724 between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Rebecca has been experimenting making new dishes and has made a beetroot, vegetable and 4 cheese puff pastry tart. It’s available for the rest of the week, why not pop in and enjoy a slice for your lunch for £4.95.

The Walled Garden

The team at the Walled Garden are always happy to help their customers in any way they can. Recently the team received a request from a customer to construct a traditional fruit drying box for them. Here is Michael adding the finishing touches with a coat of wood stain. We can’t wait to show you all the finishes product.

The aviary is looking spotless after an early spring clean. We can tell our finches are impressed with the teams housekeeping skills.

Pets Corner

Our fury friends at Pets Corner have been taking full advantage of the recent sunny weather.

Are you looking for something to keep the kids busy with over the weekends? Why not come along and visit Merlin the Bearded Dragon, Sid the Snake and the rest of the team? They are open Monday to Friday 10:30am to 3:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4pm.
