On 1st February 2019 the people we support and the staff team at our Day Services in the Resource Centre celebrated Dignity Action Day. The people we support came up with lots of great answers to what dignity in care means to them. They wrote their messages down on card decorations to hang on the dignity tree; these included:
- Being involved in conversations and decision making, which is very important to the people we support.
- Being told that they look smart.
As well as discussing the importance of dignity, the group were able to decorate some delicious cupcakes which were then enjoyed with a cup of tea! Thank you to everyone who helped to make the event a success. The dignity tree will be displayed in the Resource Centre for everyone to see and look at.
