The Walled Garden Gets Asda Community Grant

The Walled Garden in Worden Park, Leyland has recently been nominated for the Asda Community Grant at Clayton Green Asda, Chorley.

Customers at Asda are given green tokens to vote for one of three local community projects, which are chosen by Asda’s Colleague Voice Team, to receive money towards a local project. The voting, which takes place over two months, recently ended, with The Walled Garden chosen as a runner up, they have received a grant of £50.
The Walled Garden plan to use this grant money towards making improvements to the kitchen garden at Worden Park. These improvements include the renovation of the Melon Pit and replacing raised beds, as well as making the area more wheelchair friendly.
