On Saturday 22nd June our Lancashire Advocacy group, Voice for All, were very proud to attend Lancaster Pride for the first time! The group had a stall at the event which they shared with Meet ‘N’ Match, who support adults with learning disabilities and Autism across Lancashire and Merseyside and 2BU Wakefield, a LGBT+ support group for adults with learning disabilities and Autism in Wakefield.
On their stall, our Voice for All group spread the word about all of the great work themselves and the Brothers of Charity Services do, whilst offering face painting and glitter to anyone attending the event. The group also gave out friendship bracelets in return of a small donation to Voice for All; they raised an amazing £70!
The atmosphere at Pride was absolutely fantastic and the weather was just as good! The parade throughout the day got everybody in high spirits, followed by some live singing which certainly got everybody up dancing and having a great time! The day was a great opportunity for everyone there to express themselves in any way they wanted, and Voice for All did just that! The group already can’t wait to go back.
