Volunteer’s Afternoon Tea

Liz Beaver, Volunteers Co-Ordinator at the Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire organised a thank you event for the volunteers that support the Lancashire Services.

The afternoon tea was held at Roccoco Coffee Lounge on Friday 14th July 2017. Keiran and the team at Roccoco made some wonderful cakes and helped out on the day by arranging the cakes on stands and helping to decorate the venue with bunting made by Crafty Uniforms.

From being part of the social enterprise’s teams to supporting people to create works of art, attending football matches and enabling people to take up and enjoy hobbies, the volunteers provide invaluable support to the Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire and the people they support.

Julie Khan, HR Business Partner came along to thank volunteers personally and to let them know the latest news from Brothers of Charity Services. Volunteers who have been with the service for over a year were also awarded a voucher as a thank you for their hard work. Liz arranged a raffle and a word connecting quiz which got quite competitive.

Everyone enjoyed the evening, commenting they enjoy meeting up with other volunteers and to feel ‘part of the team’.

Many thanks to volunteers who provide such a valuable service!

If you are or you know of someone who is interested in volunteering, please let me know and we can meet up for a chat and have a look round the services.
