Brothers of Charity Services celebrated Dignity Action Day by holding a Digni-tea party in our Merseyside services. Our Digni-tea parties are a great way of raising awareness of the importance of Dignity in Care as well as being an enjoyable day for the people we support.

Brothers of Charity Services in Merseyside held their Digni-tea party on Friday 2nd February 2018. They invited everyone from their services to come along and join in the arts and crafts they had to offer and to enjoy an afternoon of pampering.

For the arts and crafts session, our clients and staff were invited to colour, paint and write on a leaf what dignity means to them. A digni-tree has now been created using all of the leaves.

The support workers also helped the clients to write their own dignity poems. Here is an example of one of the poems we received written by Fiona Ewart, who is a Support Workers at our Thingwall Day Services.

Dignity and pride,

We use these words everyday,

So when your feeling low,

We provide somewhere to go,

As we support you everyday.

We do this with pride,

Because you deserve to be dignified.

As we support you everyday,

We listen to what you say,

Because everyone deserves,

Dignity day to day.
