The Care Quality Commission regulates all social care and health services in England. They check that services meet the government’s standards about care and that people get good care from hospitals, ambulances, care homes and other services that support them in their own home or in other places. The CQC also safeguard the rights of individuals who need extra support to stay safe, including people who are kept in care under the Mental Health Act.
