Brothers of Charity Services in England are continually looking for ways to improve our service to the people we support, our staff and all of our stake holders.
Following the successful introduction of the 0800 111 4350 Freephone number as a single point of contact for calls to the Brothers of Charity Services in England, we are positively responding to growing concerns as to potential hidden caller charges and revenue sharing practices within the 0800 number structure.
As such the Brothers of Charity Services in England has migrated it’s Freephone number from 0800 111 4350 to 0300 123 2225 in order to ensure that there are no hidden or additional caller charges to anyone trying to contact us via the national telephone number 0300 123 2225.
The 0800 number will continue to be live until winter 2014. Any calls to the 0800 number will ask the caller to call 0300 123 2225 instead. From winter 2014 the 0800 will then be unobtainable.
What are 03 numbers and how much do they cost?
Ofcom introduced UK-wide 03 numbers as an alternative to chargeable 08 numbers, such as 0870. These new numbers allow organisations, including public sector bodies and non-profit organisations such as the Brothers of Charity Services, to have a single national point of contact for telephone without anyone having to pay additional costs to call them.
Calls to the Brothers of Charity Services on the 0300 123 2225 number will cost no more than a national rate call (a standard UK geographic landline – 01 or 02 number) and will count towards any inclusive minutes when calling from a mobile phone – in the same way as 01 and 02 numbers.
These rules apply to calls from any type of line including mobile, BT, other fixed line or payphone. Revenue sharing – where the dialled party can receive a share of what the consumer pays to make a call – is also not allowed on calls to 03 numbers.
