Derren Tansley, a support worker, went above and beyond his job role recently by giving extra care to one of our clients in Greater Manchester. When one of the people we support was not home when Derren arrived to deliver their support; as this was very unusual Derren went about trying to locate them and found them at the local walk-in centre.
Derren then waited with the client and took them to get their prescription done; he then safely returned the customer to their home, where he then delivered his support. All of this work was in excess of the client’s allocated support which Derren kindly completed in his own time.
