Following the success of a recent tender, the Brothers of Charity Services in Greater Manchester has now achieved Approved Provider status for the Greater Manchester Learning Disability and Autism Ethical Purchasing Framework.
The successful bid means that the Brothers of Charity Services in Greater Manchester will now have access to £1.5 billion worth of contract opportunities over the next five years. This, alongside the purchase of the new, larger regional office at Standard House in Bury, brings an exciting period of substantial development and growth to the Greater Manchester Services.
The Greater Manchester Services have also been awarded all the Greater Manchester wide Learning Disability and Autism Lots that they tendered for as follows:
Lot 1: Independent at home – Support could include Supported Living; Residential Homes; Nursing Homes; Respite; Domiciliary care; Emergency Accommodation; Specialist support at home; Shared Lives; Transitional services into adulthood.
Lot 2: Learning new skills – Support could include Supported employment; Internships; Volunteering; Independent Living skill programmes; Travel Training; Life skills programmes e.g. communication, interview and job preparation, social skills etc.
Lot 3: Connect with others – Support could include Day Support; Social clubs; Opportunity to develop friendships; Befriending services; Support to join universal services.
Lot 4: Innovation and scope – The fourth lot is a lot to include innovation and scope for future requirements throughout the life of the Purchasing System.
Lot 5: APL Individuals (Personalised Services) – The 5th Lot will provide commissioners to ‘call off’ services for individuals, this enables providers to deliver a personalised service for service users. Services under lot 5 will include but not limited to Personal Assistants and Day Services.
