The Brothers of Charity Services are delighted to announce the winners of the Community Youth Grant in Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

Brothers of Charity Services Merseyside awarded Broughton Hall School for Girl’s years 7, 8 and 9 sports team the £500 grant which will enable them to purchase sports kits and other equipment for playing in competitions. The Girl’s Football Teams won the Merseyside Cup under 14’s and the Merseyside Cup under 13’s as well as making it to the quarter final of the National Schools cup in April this year.

Brothers of Charity Services Greater Manchester awarded the £500 grant to Boothstown Sharks Under 10’s Football Team, also enabling them to purchase equipment and kits. Boothstown Sharks play in an under 10’s football league across Manchester, Bolton, Lancashire, Bury and Wigan. The team currently competes in the Bolton, Bury & District Football League (BBDFL) – Section B, having won the BBDFL – Section C in the 2012 – 2013 season.

We are extremely proud to sponsor such successful teams and we hope that the Community Youth Activities Grant will help both of them to succeed in next year’s competitions! We will keep you updated on both team’s progress throughout the next season.
