Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire had a very successful outcome from an annual Customer Service Excellence (CSE) surveillance visit.

Each year since 2010, Hugh Keachie has met with various groups of stakeholders to establish the level of care and support we provide not only for people using our service but also their family, friends and our own employees.

Thanks to the continued commitment and high quality of support and care our staff provides we have been told by Hugh that we continue to meet the standards required to maintain our CSE certification. Hugh said the information and evidence we shared with him was of an excellent standard, which he has come to expect from us each year he visits.

Not only did we remain fully compliant in all areas of the standard (with no development points to address) but we have also been recommended for our 9th Compliance Plus accreditation. Compliance plus is awarded when we provide evidence which illustrates ‘customer’ support and services which goes above and beyond the practice of similar providers and also demonstrates innovation. This year Voice for All gained us our recommendation due to the Assistive Technology event they recently organised and facilitated at St Mary’s club in Chorley – so a very well done to you Voice for All!!

It is very important that we reflect on what we perhaps too often take for granted, and that is all the great work that takes place on a daily basis. The support our hard working staff provides does not only impact on the person using our service, but also their family members, friends and other people within the wider community. This was highlighted by one comment a family member made yesterday. A father of one individual using our service said that because of the great support his son receives, he now has the freedom to pursue his own interests which has given him a new lease on life. Hugh said how impressed he was to hear such feedback.

We wish to sincerely thank each of you for helping us to not only provide Hugh with the information and evidence he required, but for providing this quality of support day in day out.
