The team of lengthsmen (Litter pickers) employed by Clayton-le-Woods Parish Council were recently commended for their efforts in keeping the village tidy by both the Parish Council and the judges of the North West in Bloom competition. The group consist of David Higgins, Jamie Hatch, Jon Ireland, Douglas Millen and Michael Robinson, most of whom have been doing this work for a number of years in all seasons, so it is great to see that their efforts are appreciated by the local community.
