The Brothers of Charity Services have various Social Enterprises for adults with learning disabilities; services are designed to support people to develop skills with confidence in a supportive working environment whilst offering services in the local community.
The social enterprises carryout lots of great, fun activities for the people we support and the local communities to get involved with. Here you will be able to find out what each of the social enterprises have been up to this week.
The Walled Garden
Our team at The Walled Garden would like to thank everyone who joined us at our Christmas Markets. We hope everybody had a lovely time and enjoyed meeting Santa and his adorable reindeer. Also a big thank you to all of the stall holders and volunteers who helped throughout the day to make the event a huge success.
Thank you to John Southworth Builders who made it possible for these wonderful reindeer to come to our Christmas Market on Sunday. Everybody loved seeing, stroking and feeding them and they made lots of our visitors very happy.

Hands on Gardening and Heaton Street
How cosy does Santa look in his grotto from The Walled Garden’s Christmas Market last Sunday! Our team at Hands on Gardening as well as from Heaton Street Gardening helped to decorate the Edwardian Bothy at the entrance to The Walled Garden with festive items made by the Creative Arts team.
For the last few weeks, the team at Hands on Gardening have been making Christmas cards and decorations to sell at The Walled Garden’s Christmas Market that happened last Sunday! Our team really enjoyed getting creative and selling their handmade products so we’ve decided to continue making them until Christmas. If you would like to buy our Christmas cards and seasonal ornaments pop in to the Bothy at The Walled Garden in Worden Park.
