Brothers of Charity Services are holding their annual Heritage Festival on Saturday 7th June 2014 at Thingwall Hall, Broadgreen. The event runs between 11am – 3pm and is free to attend, everyone is welcome!

This year, the Heritage Festival has a theme of celebrating cultural heritage. The event will bring day full of family fun including the ‘Bring the Fire Project’ Reef’s Reptiles, international stalls and workshops, music, a community choir with plenty of singing and dancing, a BBQ, international food stalls, face painting, Tai Chi, birds of prey and lots more fun for all the family.

There will be plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied from Reef’s Reptiles with a variety of invertebrates including snakes, spiders and lizards for everyone to handle and learn about under the supervision of trained experts.

Pop Larkin’s Birds of Prey’s fully qualified Falconer will also be at the event, enabling people to see, touch and learn about different Birds of Prey.

Bring the Fire Project promises a magnificent live object manipulation display and 30 minute workshops teaching circus skills.

Also at the event will be the Al Ghazali Centre Singing Group, Pagoda Arts Tai Chi demonstrations, Liverpool Signing Choir a Congolese Drummer, Swanside Youth Dance Group, and the Polish Community group Polonia will be performing Folklore Dance.

The event will also host a plant sale hosted by Summerhill Garden Centre, the BOC Service’s onsite social enterprise garden centre. All plants are lovingly grown and nurtured in onsite greenhouses, offering great quality at fantastic prices.
