The team at Crafty Uniforms, our retail social enterprise in Chorley, have been busy in December delivering craft sessions out in the local community.
The first craft session was delivered to a group of parents from the family support group, High Five, based in Chorley. Tina demonstrated how to make fancy Christmas Cards and James was the cameraman for the day, capturing lots of photos. The group were very pleased to see how the people supported at Crafty Uniforms were encouraged to use a range of skills to deliver the session. Everyone made several Christmas cards to take home with them and send to family and friends. Thank you to Crafty Uniforms’ support staff, Joanne and Dylan, who assisted the running of the session.
The second community craft session was at Genesis which is a support group for those living with Dementia and for their partners and carers. Tina showed everyone how to make some fabulous Christmas cards and James helped out and took lots of photos. The group had a fabulous time! Thank you to Dylan who assisted the running of this session.
Many thanks to the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund, whose funding helps to make these community activities possible.
