The Creative Arts Department at The Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire are having an exhibition at Clayton Green Library, Library Road, Clayton le Woods from 26th September – 30th October 2018.
It’s an excellent opportunity to see the excellent work of the artists who are supported by the Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire.
Dominic Cooper the Creative Arts Team Leader said
“We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate fully in arts and culture. We envisage a time when the arts sector will be inclusive and accessible to all. Creativity is innate in all of us and we strive to find the potential in everyone we work with. We value all creative output and see it as the path to self-fulfilment.”
The work is predominantly gestural and abstract with the addition of a section dedicated to examples of sculpture from a recent recycle project. The Team Leader also concluded.
“The creative arts department allows freedom for the artists to express themselves through creative arts in order to develop their self-confidence and self-esteem. This enables them to build on their communication and social interaction skills, through teamwork and individual projects, increasing the artists overall resilience. We hope, through joint working, to create projects within the community and contribute positively to our cultural landscape”
Don’t miss the opportunity to see the work of these often overlooked artists, the exhibition at Clayton Green Library runs until the end of October.
