Members of the Voice for All group in Lancashire have been working closely with the leaders of the Calderstones Cemetery Campaign relating plans to build a crematorium on part of the site of the Calderstones Hospital Cemetery, in Whalley, Lancashire.
The campaign is being led by four gentlemen who were former residents at Calderstones, one being Voice for All’s very own John! The four campaigners made a video at a conference which has been viewed over 10,000 times and a family member who has a loved one buried at Calderstones Cemetery has even started calling them the ‘Awesome Foursome’!
Pathways Associates and other wider contributors also supported the campaign and got the ‘Awesome Foursome’ together for it. The four men were former residents at Calderstones and all had friends who were buried in the cemetery. John asked the members of Voice for All to write letters to the Bishop of Blackburn and really helped coordinate the effort from Brothers of Charity Services.
