Join us during the May Half Term at The Walled Garden in Worden Park, Leyland for a week of family fun activities. The activities will run from 10:30am – 3pm unless stated otherwise.
Saturday 23rd May: Family Hanging Basket Workshop
12pm – 4pm, £30 per family including all materials and plants to make a county basket. This workshop is a fun hands on family activity and a great way to introduce kids to gardening! Booking preferred but may not be essential.
Sunday 24th May: Facepainting with Charlotte, 12pm – 4:45pm
Monday 25th May: Walled Garden Wander Family activity
£2 each clip board.
Come along discover the wonders of the Walled Garden and its historical features, complimented by our information booklet that is yours to keep after the activity. Can you answer the questions on the activity sheets??? Small prize on completion for children.
Tuesday 26th May: Meet the animals of Potting Shed Pets
11am – 12pm, 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Hands on animal interaction session with the residents of our Potting Shed Pets, including bunnies, lizards and more! Any donations will be gratefully received.
Wednesday 27th May: The Wonderful World of Wood – Back by popular demand!
Wood turning workshop demo with our expert Dave showing the art of wood turning with examples of his craftsmanship on sale all day.
Thursday 28th May: Grow your own Cabbage Patch Kids workshop
10:30am start, £3.00 per child.
Bring the kids along in their gardening gear where they can learn all about cabbages and other brassicas, use gardening tools and help to prepare and plant our produce ready for the autumn harvest amongst our vegetable beds! Free young plant to grow at home for each child.
Friday 29th May: Go Potty with Plants! –
Join us at The Walled Garden during ‘The Big Lunch’ family event in Worden Park. Choose your favourite from a selection of bedding plants grown in the garden and pot it up for growing at home. It would also make a great gift! £1 a plant.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times for all activities!
