National Apple Day at The Walled Garden, Worden Park
Saturday 19th October, 1pm until 4pm
Come and visit the fantastic 18th Century Walled Garden, our social enterprise based in Worden Park, Leyland, where our team will be pressing the apples from a selection of heritage variety apple trees.
You will be welcome to taste freshly squeezed apple juice and to have a go at squeezing your own apple juice. Also, make sure you have a look at The Walled Garden’s very fruitful Black Hamburg grape vines which are over 100 years old and housed in a newly renovated Victorian Vinehouse. There will be a chance to taste both the apples and the grapes and buy some to take home.
Our late autumn gardens are still looking colourful so feel welcome to take a look around by yourself or with the family and enjoy the scenery! Dogs are always welcome.
