On Saturday the 14th July the Saturday Space Group, a part of Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire’s Pastoral Group, visited Blackburn Cathedral.
From time to time the group like to leave the chapel at Lisieux Hall and visit various places on day trips. This time they wanted to see one of the country’s oldest places of Christian worship. Their visit was arranged beforehand in order to accommodate our groups’ needs. It began with a well-executed guided tour by Sian Howell-Jones, Education Officer. The group then met Canon Rowena Pailing who told them a little bit about worship in the cathedral. They enjoyed a delicious lunch in The Cloister Garth, a tranquil new garden space with a fountain, and then took part in a stained glass window workshop.
Everyone all enjoyed the trip and would like to visit the cathedral again!
