Several of our customers have been leaving the shop carrying arms full of exciting purchases such as embroidery silks, cross stitch, patterns, craft books, beads, fabrics and patchwork pieces, along with lots of other crafting bits and bobs.
One customer said “l feel like it’s Christmas all over again!”
Tina, one of our fabulous team members, helped to make our creative sign.

Andrew, a team member at Crafty Uniforms #Chorley, has made a new open sign for the shop door He was really happy with what he made and now they have a lovely new sign to welcome customers to our Crafty Uniforms!
Thank you to all of our amazing donors and generous customers who have dropped off bags and boxes of pre-loved craft items and school uniforms in December.
This month we have had many items of jewellery making materials, lucky bag items, fabrics, embroidery making materials and patterns, faux fur fabric, boxes of paper, sticky back plastic, crafting DVDs, acetates, wool, and so much more.

Our team prepared and delivered a community Crafty session at Chorley Methodist Church toddler group.
Children used brown paper tubes cut to create a kind of brush which they dabbed in paint and then onto black card giving the effect of fireworks.
The finished picture look fabulous and are a great remember of the fireworks from New Year’s Eve.
Lee and Emily had a fabulous time helping deliver the session and later singing along with the children at nursery rhymes time.

Roccoco
Over Christmas the people who attend Roccoco enjoyed a session of learning how to make bread! They used fresh dough to make a loaf of bread to take home with them and pizza bases, which they covered with their own choice of toppings and cooked for their lunch. Everyone enjoyed their day!
One of our customers asked us how to make soda bread. Our team decided to make an activity out of making soda bread and to share our recipe if successful. The results were great and the bread was delicious! We will make more to serve with soup on our upcoming specials.
Our special this week is a delicious winter warmer Broccoli, Leek and Stilton soup served with our home made soda bread and butter for £3.05, available from Monday, 9:30am-3:30pm!
Come in and enjoy our new gluten free orange and chocolate cake, made in house for you to enjoy. Michael made the large one this morning, you don’t want to miss out!

Hands on Recycling
As many schools have been closed over Christmas and many people had some time off, we have had a well-deserved rest! Now that schools are back and businesses are open we are back to our extremely busy routine. We are all enjoying our recycling activities and making a positive impact on the environment by reducing the amount of cardboard and plastic that gets taken to landfill sites!
