The Brothers of Charity Service’s Heritage Day

Each act of care is a ray of sunshine
The Brothers of Charity Services is holding its annual Heritage Day at Lisieux Hall in Chorley on Sunday 28th June between 1-4pm and everyone is welcome to attend!

To celebrate this year’s theme, “Each act of care is a ray of sunshine”, the Brothers of Charity Services will be holding a big garden party with games, music, food and fun, there will be something for everyone and the weather will be fine.

Each year the Brothers of Charity Services celebrates its heritage and focuses on a specific theme, which is considered to be fundamental to their founder, Canon Peter Joseph Triest’s vision.
“Bringing food to these people, offering them a bed, nursing their wounds… is that not making the sun shine for them, is that not creating a new earth? Is that not resurrecting them and drawing them from the jaws of death?” was one of his memorable phrases.
This year the Mayor of Chorley, Councillor Marion Lowe, and her Consort, Councillor Adrian Lowe, will be attending to perform the grand opening of the event, the same Mayor that has most recently performed the inaugural ceremony of the newly refurbished Crafty Uniforms.
