We are also too familiar with the last minute rummage through the high-street at the end of the summer holidays trying to find uniform items in the correct size. Crafty Uniforms is a retail outlet selling ‘pre-loved’ high-quality, low-cost, school uniforms as well as recycled arts and crafts materials. The shop was formerly known as Crafty Solutions, but has since has been renovated and re-launched in late May (read about Crafty Uniforms’ official launch).
Crafty Uniforms dispels any pre-conceived assumptions about ‘pre-loved’ uniforms, by providing an array of seemingly new, great quality and clean uniforms. These include sweatshirts, t-shirts, pants, skirts, summer dresses, shoes and more!
More importantly, Crafty Uniforms gives our service users the opportunity to get back out into the community by providing them with the opportunity to do all types of retail-based tasks, such as: setting up displays of uniforms or craft items, washing and ironing donated items of clothing, pricing and colour coding stock, serving customers on our till and creating new craft items using dye cutting machines and packaging them for sale.
How Can You Donate and What Donations Do We Accept?
All the items sold in Crafty Uniforms are sourced predominantly from donations from the general public. Donations of ‘grown out, not worn out’ school uniforms are always required and can be dropped off in store.
We also have community ‘Drop Spots’ where items of uniform may also be donated. Donations of all craft items are always required and can be dropped off at the shop or at any of the community ‘Drop spots’ also.
