Volunteers from the Brothers of Charity Services took part in a Volunteers Walk on the 5th June 2019. The event was kindly organised by one of our volunteers Bob Clare through Lancashire Dotcom walkers, who was joined by volunteers from Sue Ryder, The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire and Brothers of Charity. Overall, there was an amazing 30 walkers involved in the day altogether!
The group met at Town Brow car park at 10:30am and set off on a gentle walk to Lisieux Hall. The walkers were given a warm reception and were welcomed into The Chapel at our Lancashire services with refreshments. Clare and Becky gave an interesting talk to the group about the history of the Brothers of Charity Services, and the work Voice for All have carried out over the past 12 months. This was followed by a gentle walk to the top of the mound at Buckshaw Village to have their annual group photo taken! The day got off to a sunny start, but the rainy end did not dampen anyone’s spirits.
The Volunteers Walk, which is held to celebrate National Volunteers Week, is always enjoyed by everyone who takes part! Congratulations and well done to those who were involved in the day.
