The Brothers of Charity Services in Merseyside are able to meet the needs of elderly people with memory-related illnesses such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s through a range of services from supported living to registered Nursing Care and retirement clubs.
As Dementia Champions we are committed to the delivery of support based upon individualised programmes of care which ensure dignity and respect at each stage of a person’s illness and include specialist therapies such as;
- Memory stimulus
- Reminiscence therapy
- Massage
- Communications therapy
Within our residential services, we have many years’ experience working in partnership with statutory healthcare professionals in adapting environments to enable people supported to retain as much independence as possible – this has previously included work in relation to colour differentiation based upon studies conducted by Stirling University – whilst ensuring that support changes and evolves as the person’s needs do.
