June Monthly Promotion – Last month we promoted:

National Volunteers Week – 1st to 7th June

Volunteers from Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire took part in a 6 mile walk in Cuerden Valley Park. The walk is arranged every year by Bob Clare to celebrate National Volunteers Week, making it a great reason for volunteers from local organisations to get together and catch up. Diabetes Week – 12th to 18th June

To raise Awareness of Diabetes Week, staff were signposted to resources through the website and intranet. Click here to read more about Diabetes Week.

Learning Disability Week – 19th to 25th June

Voice for All, our Self Advocacy Group took part in two events for Learning Disability Week:

  • LD Awareness Event at Preston Flag Marketing on Monday 19th June.
  • Our Health Event at the Education Centre in Chorley District Hospital on Friday 23rd June.

Heritage Day – Friday 30th June

Brothers of Charity Services’ annual Heritage Day was held at Lisieux Hall on 30th June.

The day included the Health BOCS Football Final between Merseyside and Lancashire staff, musical performances, food, stalls and much more, while celebrating the heritage of the Brothers of Charity. The Staff Awards followed this event, and will start at 3:30pm and finish at 6pm.

July Monthly Promotion – This month we are promoting:

Are you making the most of claiming back your optical and dental bills with your Medicash Health Plan provided to you by BOCS? All staff will have received a pack by post, but if you need your membership number, contact Reception to find out about Medicash Extras and to receive your Medicash Policy number.

Have you downloaded the Medicash app yet?

Medicash have now created an app that will help you get the most from your health plan benefits. With this app you’ll be able to:

– View a summary of your benefits and check your remaining allowances

– Make a claim directly through the app – removing the need to post in your receipts

– Find the best way to contact Medicash with any queries.

All you need to get started is your Medicash policy number, contact your local payroll for this.

To get started, simply go to the App Store or Google Play and search ‘Medicash’ to download the app today. Any claims that you submit through the app will be received by us instantly and you’ll receive an email to confirm receipt. Your claim will then be processed as usual. If apps aren’t your thing, you can still continue to send in your claims in the usual ways.
