As well as the more traditionally commissioned services, the Brothers of charity Services in Merseyside has a well-established community engagement programme. Our community engagement team works in partnership with local communities and marginalised societal groups to run engagement programmes that respond to a range of socio-economic problems.
Despite the challenges of today’s ever-changing social, economic and political landscape, The Brothers of Charity Services Community Initiatives Team aims to channel resources, skills and assets on a local level to build stronger, healthier and happier communities and support people from marginalised backgrounds in making a meaningful contribution.
To date this has included initiatives in the following areas;
- Public Health programmes
- Community ‘clean-up’ initiatives
- Inter-faith partnership working
- Social isolation and community networking
- Voluntary work programmes
