David Hilton raised over £170 by taking on, and completing a sponsored hike up Moel Famaul on the 22nd April with Danielle Hughes, in aid of RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution).
Moel Famau is one of North East Wale’s most iconic peaks with its vast heather moorland and ancient history, the track was 4.5 miles in total.
Dave’s chosen charity was the RNLI, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution which Dave has supported for many years.
Dave loves hiking, in the past he enjoyed walking in the Yorkshire Dales which were up to 9 and a half miles long. He is happy that he is now back into hiking regularly, Dave also completed a warm up hike in the Yorkshire Dales with Danielle to prepare for the main walk up Moel Famau.
The Yorkshire Dales and Moel Famau have some beautiful scenery, Dave loves seeing all of the different wildlife while he is out hiking.
Dave would like to thank Danielle, his support worker and everyone who sponsored him to accomplish his goal.
