Imageink held its annual Neighbours Day on Wednesday 4th June at the Hetherlow Centre in Walton, with a World War 1 theme, as part of the Heritage Week.
There was a great turnout to the event which saw a variety of guests and activities for everyone to get involved in or to watch. These included Northcote School Choir, Ged & Musician Friends, DJ Craig, Dare Project, Active Me, Everton in the Community, Active Me, LMH Good Neighbours Scheme, Progress Housing, Tai Chi demonstration and ANKUR Henna and Costume. BOC Service’s new social enterprise, Summerhill Garden Centre also held a plant sale at the event.
The Imageink staff, volunteers and people who attended on the day raised money (total to be confirmed) for the Liverpool Veterans Project, which was launched in March 2013 to support Veterans, reservists and their families. It is the only one of its kind in the Liverpool, providing a fully holistic support package all under one roof for ex-service personnel and their families.
