Brothers of Charity Services in Merseyside are supporting colleagues that smoke to take up the Stoptober challenge.
Stoptober is the 28-day national stop smoking challenge launched in October 2012. Stopping smoking for 28 days means you’re five times more likely to stop for good and last year, thousands of people successfully quit in the biggest mass participation stop smoking challenge ever.
Fag Ends, part of the Roy Castle Foundation will be holding an advice session offering free help and support to stop smoking and to stop using E-Cigs on the 25th October at Thingwall Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend, if you would like more information, please contact the Human Resources team on 0151 228 4439.
Stoptober provides smokers with a range of free tools including a new stop smoking pack, a 28-day mobile phone app, text support with daily updates, quitting advice and tips for coping, as well as the encouragement and support from thousands of people quitting together through Stoptober social media channels.
