Coldharbour’s core functionality as a care management system has been fully deployed across the English Services.

This includes the ability to create and manage individual commissioned supports and manage employee time as it relates to client supports. It is also possible to manage and confirm employees’ time for business and operational support, training, team meetings and supervisions.

The management of these features are no longer solely being lead from the Coldharbour Project Team and now falls to local operational and care managers to take the lead in ensuring that its use and integrity of data is maintained and fully compliant.

The next feature to be rolled out will be options for logging and managing Annual Leave and Absences. The project team are in the process of defining and agreeing the operational processes required in order to ensure that these additional parts of the system can fully configured for staff to start using.

A new Coldharbour End User forum will soon be run on a regular basis to resolve issues and bring in suggestions from staff to the project team on improvements to the system and make the project team aware of any issues with Coldharbour and help drive the future of the project. Invites will be sent out to super users and staff members asking them to represent their service areas or locations in the near future.

Finally after a year of working on a secondment as IT Systems and Information Manager, Scott Brown has now left the IT Department to start a new secondment role at BOCS working as Operations Manager in BOCS Lancashire.

I’m sure everyone who has worked with Scott in the last year will want to thank him for the hard work and dedication he has put into the rollout of the Coldharbour system as it now moves onto a new phase with local operational and care managers taking the lead in its continued deployment and use.

Scott will continue to have an input into the system deployment and development through his new role but all support issues should be directed in the first instance to a Coldharbour SuperUser and if the issue is not resolved then to IT Support via the ticket system which has a Coldharbour category to use when submitting a ticket –
