Brothers of Charity Services – Merseyside and Greater Manchester are supporting StepChange’s Debt Awareness Week, 26th January – 2nd February as part of the Health and Wellbeing programme.
The aim of this year’s campaign is to help people to take control of their finances with Step Change’s new 7-day email programme of support and practical advice.
What is 7 Days, 7 Ways?
Each day for a week Step Change will send you an email linking to practical advice to help you with your finances, written by their expert debt advisors. They will talk through a wealth of different subjects, including working out what you owe, which payments are priorities, and how they can help you put together a long-term action plan.
The campaign is built around StepChange’s clients and their experiences, after it found that 41% of clients in debt wait a year before getting help.
Throughout Debt Awareness Week StepChange Debt Charity will be talking about the danger signs of debt and how to deal with them.
