January Promotion

In January 2015, we supported StepChange Debt Charity Debt Awareness Week and Dry January.

Debt Awareness Week

Debt Awareness Week 2015 by StepChange Debt Charity is taking place between January 26th and February 2nd, click here for more information. Brothers of Charity Services in Merseyside and Greater Manchester will display information regarding Debt Awareness Week throughout January.

Dry January

Brothers of Charity Services in Merseyside and Greater Manchester are supporting people to take part in Dry January. Dry January is a campaign by Alcohol Concern to encourage people to try going dry for a month. The main aim of the campaign was to encourage behaviour change. Alcohol Concern has carried out academic research around Dry January and early reports show that taking part in the campaign has a positive impact on a person’s levels and patterns of alcohol consumption beyond January.

The Brothers of Charity Services will support anyone who would like to take part in the campaign with information leaflets, posters and website articles about the Dry January campaign.

The aim is to start a new conversation about alcohol
The challenge is to go booze free for 31 days
Giving people the chance to lose weight, feel better, save money and make a difference
