No Smoking Day

Information about No Smoking Day will be available to pick up at reception at Thingwall Hall and Lisieux Hall and in the Bury office.

Apprentice Week

14th– 18th March

Apprentices at the Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire will be taking part in work experience throughout our social enterprises. Working as part of the social enterprise team, they will share their experience with the rest of the Brothers of Charity Services, view the story here.

Sports Relief

18thMarch

The Brothers of Charity Services in England will mark Sports Relief by holding the Health BOCS Football Tournament on Friday 18th March, starting at 11am in the grounds of both Thingwall Hall and Lisieux Hall.

Down syndrome Awareness Week 20th– 26th March

 

My Friends, My Community – what it means to be included

This year Down Syndrome Awareness Week will be celebrating people with Down’s syndrome, of all ages, who are part of our communities – at home, in schools and colleges, in workplaces, clubs and social groups.

Children and adults with Down’s syndrome must be able to enjoy full and equal rights alongside their peers. This includes the opportunity to participate fully in their communities as and when they wish with the right support.

Are you making the most of claiming back your optical and dental bills with your Medicash Health Plan provided to you by BOCS? All staff will have received a pack by post, but if you need your membership number, you can also call reception at Thingwall Hall on 0151 228 4439, or email human.resources@brothersofcharity.org.uk.

 

Have you downloaded the Medicash app yet?

Medicash have now created an app that will help you get the most from your health plan benefits. With this app you’ll be able to:

  • View a summary of your benefits and check your remaining allowances
  • Make a claim directly through the app – removing the need to post in your receipts
  • Find the best way to contact Medicash with any queries.

All you need to get started is your Medicash policy number.

 

To get started, simply go to the App Store or Google Play and search ‘Medicash’ to download the app today. Any claims that you submit through the app will be received by us instantly and you’ll receive an email to confirm receipt. Your claim will then be processed as usual. If apps aren’t your thing, you can still continue to send in your claims in the usual ways.
