June Monthly Promotion

National Volunteers Week – 1st to 12th June – Volunteers Week Walk – 7th June 2016

Volunteers from Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire are taking part in a 6 mile walk in Cuerden Valley Park. This is the 4th Year that a walk has been organised to celebrate the contribution volunteers make to local charities and NGOs in general and to the Brothers of Charity Services in Lancashire in particular. National Carers Week – 6th to 12th June  

We will celebrate National Carers Week by sharing Good Practice stories from across the services online as well as at the upcoming Heritage Day and Staff Awards Event.

Diabetes Week – 12th June to 18th June

To raise Awareness of Diabetes Week, the official marketing materials fromhttps://www.diabetes.org.uk/ will be shown on the reception screen at Thingwall Hall. Staff will be signposted to resources through the website and intranet.

Heritage Day – 30th June

Brothers of Charity Services’ annual Heritage Day will be held at Thingwall Hall on 30th June from 11am to 3pm.

The day will include the Health BOCS Football Final between Merseyside and Lancashire staff, musical performances, food, stalls and much more, while celebrating the heritage of the Brothers of Charity.

Have you downloaded the Medicash app yet?

Medicash have now created an app that will help you get the most from your health plan benefits. With this app you’ll be able to:

  • View a summary of your benefits and check your remaining allowances
  • Make a claim directly through the app – removing the need to post in your receipts
  • Find the best way to contact Medicash with any queries.

All you need to get started is your Medicash policy number.

To get started, simply go to the App Store or Google Play and search ‘Medicash’ to download the app today. Any claims that you submit through the app will be received by us instantly and you’ll receive an email to confirm receipt. Your claim will then be processed as usual. If apps aren’t your thing, you can still continue to send in your claims in the usual ways.
