Imageink, a day time support service for adults run by the Brothers of Charity Services – Liverpool raised over £400 for Liverpool Veterans, the cheque presentation took place on Wednesday 16th July 2014.
The fundraising took place at the Neighbours day at Imageink on the 4th June 2014. Activities included Tai Chi with Lynn and Bill Woods, Henna hand painting and traditional Indian dress by Ankur, Liverpool Food Team, Northcote Primary School Choir, Mark Langley Football Comedian and Everton in the Community ‘It’s a Knockout’.
Some of the people who took part in the fundraising presented the cheque to Bob Blanchard and Graham Kelly from Liverpool Veterans who were delighted by the effort that everyone had put in to raise the money.
The Liverpool Veterans Project offer a range of support to ex-servicemen and women and their families residing in the Liverpool area who are experiencing difficulties getting back to civilian life, including:- Employment & Job Search Support, Access to Gym & Fitness sessions, Confidential Referrals to mental health support programmes, Volunteering Programmes, Social Events and more. The money raised by Imageink will help Liverpool Veterans to run these activities.
Brothers of Charity Services- Liverpool will continue to work in partnership with Liverpool Veterans and their families and other local organisations striving to support people experiencing difficulties getting back into civilian life.
